Is LaVar Ball the next Jake Shuttlesworth from “He Got Game?" According to Denzel Washington, he might just be.

The Academy Award-winning actor was asked about LaVar recently on the Rich Eisen Show because of course he was asked about him. Media can’t seem to get over talking about the guy. I’ll never write about him, I promise. Wait, hold on, wait… shit.

And there you have it, one of our generation’s greatest actors being asked about the Ball family because what else is there to talk to about with a guy who’s apparently never done anything worth talking about?

But in all seriousness, we all know Denzel is an outstanding talent who can lock down any role he plays. As a sports guy, I remember him playing the part of Jake, father to Ray Allen’s character Jesus Shuttlesworth in the Spike Lee classic. That was almost 20 years ago and now we got Dan Patrick asking if he’s down for a sequel.
