WATCH: With the entire bench ejected, Alabama basketball nearly upsets Minnesota with just three players
"There *is* a hockey rink under this arena."
After a series of unfortunate events the 25th ranked Alabama men's basketball team managed to play over 10 minutes against No. 14 Minnesota with just three men.
Around the 13-minute mark of the second half the teams got into a shoving match that saw Alabama's Collin Sexton and Minnesota's Nate Mason T'd up and Mason being ejected. Another basketbrawl took place on the very next possession which resulted in the entire Bama bench being tossed.
Alabama's five remaining players quickly became four when guard Dazon Ingram picked up his fifth foul. Bama's freshman small forward John Petty injured his ankle at about the 10:50 mark, leaving the squad two men and 11 points down.
Unbelievable. 3 players on the court for Alabama against Minnesota with 10:28 left at Barclays Center. 3. And this is not a 3 on 3 tournament.

Despite Bama's two-man deficit actually outscoring Minnesota 30-24 and Sexton putting up 40 of his own, the Gophers eventually fell 89-84.
So close.
