Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers underwent a successful surgery Thursday on his injured right shoulder.

Rodgers went down in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the division rival Minnesota Vikings following a hit from Anthony Barr. It's still unclear if Rodgers will return this season considering the injury to his throwing shoulder.

Third year pro Brett Hundley will start for the Packers Sunday against the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field.

Surgery went well. Thanks for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers. #comebackstartsnow #riseagain #
